Frequently asked questions
What columns does the CSV need?
A destination country and a weight on every line. Length, width and height are optional, as three columns or one column like 40x30x20. Headers such as country, weight_kg, length_cm and dimensions are recognised, and without a header the columns are read in that order.
How many parcels can I quote at once?
Up to 200 lines per sheet. We fetch about 24 live rates a minute, and lines with the same country and billed weight share one lookup, so most sheets finish in a few minutes.
Why does a line show a higher billed weight than I entered?
If you give a box size, we work out the volumetric weight as L × B × H in cm ÷ 5000 and bill the higher of the two, rounded up to the next half kilo. Lines billed on box size are marked VOL.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read in your browser. Only the destination country and billed weight of each line are sent to Hyre's public rate service to look up a price.
Can I share a link to my results?
Not as a link, because the sheet stays on your device. Download the results as CSV and share that file instead.
